Thai Yoga Massage

What is it?

This form of massage originates from the traditional Thai Massage. This has been modified and adapted with the addition of yogic stretches and movements in order to suit North American lifestyles and treatment needs. Thus, Thai Yoga Massage was created!

It is a meditative and spiritually enhanced form of manual therapy that integrates the whole body. This is inspired by an approach and mindset called Metta, which means ‘loving-kindness’, or ‘compassion’.

What to Expect...

The Thai Yoga Massage is performed over the clothes on super spongy, supportively yielding floor mats which are specifically made for this treatment. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move around in. This treatment will move you, but you won’t have to lift a finger!

 

Through a sequence of massage techniques and postures you will experience long-held stretches, slow and gentle joint mobilizations, and comfortable pressure from head to toe and back again! Gentle and firm, broad pressure compressions along specific points on the body are used to facilitate full body and mind relaxation and restoration.

You will emerge from the coziness of the Thai Yoga Massage mats to float through the rest of your day. After this treatment the whole body has more freedom and space to move with calm confidence and grace. Your joints will be more balanced and aligned, your mind clear, and your mood elevated.
